6. Community Guidelines
PrayerMap is a faith-based community. We expect all users to treat others with respect and kindness. Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence is not permitted.
7. Location Sharing and Map Display
How Location Works on PrayerMap
When you create a prayer, you have the option to display it on PrayerMap's community map. This is how location sharing works:
- Opt-In Required — You must manually enable "Show on Map" for each prayer you want displayed
- No Automatic Sharing — There is no setting to automatically share all your prayers on the map
- Privacy Protection — Displayed locations use an approximate 1-kilometer offset to protect your privacy
- You Control Visibility — You can hide any prayer from the map at any time by editing it
Your Location Sharing Responsibilities
When choosing to share your location on the map:
- You understand that other users can see your prayer's approximate location
- You acknowledge that this is your voluntary choice for each individual prayer
- You agree to use location features responsibly and respectfully
- You accept that while location is offset for privacy, your general area may still be visible
Location-Based Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Use location data to harass, stalk, or track other users
- Share or expose another user's location without their consent
- Attempt to determine precise locations from approximate location data
- Use the map feature to identify private residences or workplaces
- Collect or aggregate location data for any unauthorized purpose
Violations of these location conduct rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
8. Groups and Community Features
PrayerMap allows users to create, join, and participate in Groups. Groups provide a space for communities to connect and pray together.
Group Types and Privacy
- Groups may be public (discoverable by all users) or private (invite-only)
- Group administrators and moderators have elevated permissions including: managing members, deleting messages, muting users, and banning members

- When a group owner deletes their account, ownership may transfer to another admin or the group may be archived

- Users must follow Community Guidelines within all groups
- PrayerMap reserves the right to remove groups or group content that violates these Terms

10. AR Prayer Vision (Augmented Reality)
PrayerMap offers an optional augmented reality feature that displays prayer pins and connection lines in the real world through your device's camera.
How AR Works
- Optional Feature — AR Prayer Vision is entirely optional. You activate it by tapping the camera icon on the map screen
- Camera Access — AR requires camera access to render 3D content over the real world. The camera feed is processed on your device and is not recorded or transmitted
- Device Requirements — AR requires an ARKit-compatible device (iPhone 6s or later) on iOS. On unsupported devices, the feature is unavailable
AR Conduct
When using AR Prayer Vision, you agree to:
- Use the feature in safe physical environments — be aware of your surroundings
- Not use AR Prayer Vision while driving, cycling, or operating machinery
- Not use the AR view to identify, locate, or surveil individuals at specific addresses or locations
- Accept that prayer pin positions are approximate and subject to GPS accuracy limitations
Limitations
PrayerMap is not responsible for:
- Physical injury or property damage resulting from inattention while using AR
- Inaccuracies in AR prayer placement due to GPS drift or device limitations
- AR functionality on unsupported devices
